I think Fisher's article is interesting and easy to understand, because there are many examples. Especially, visual examples helped me to understand the text.
I think Fisher's "experiential" aspect is very interesting.
We sometimes meet situation which we think we can never understand. But maybe it's because we have no experience like that. So it seems that we can perceive the situation accurately without specific experience, but in this case, we have to infer it, and it makes our perception inaccurately. Accordingly, out perception never become perfectly accurate.
To perceive others is such difficult, and to say nothing of perceiving self. Fisher says it is easy to perceive own positive point, but I cannot agree with him. For me, it is easier to perceive own negative points than positive points. But I'm not sure whether they are my real negative points or not. To perceive self perfectly is impossible.

My Reaction to Barna
Through Barna, I was interested in “the six
stumbling blocks”.
I have no experience abroad, but I have experienced some of
these blocks even in Japan. For example, “language differences” often occur
between Japanese people who speak different dialects. I often misunderstand my
friend who lives in Kansai area because of that.
I think the only way to solve these blocks
is to get used to other cultures. Not to be afraid of making mistakes, but to communicate actively is the best and only solution.
It is also important to tell our own
cultures to people who live in other cultures.
In order to do that, we should
learn not only other cultures but also our own cultures. Knowing each other’s
culture makes communication much easier and more enjoyable.

The Reaction of "The Giver"
I
read “The Giver”, which was written by Lois Lowry.
This
book is one of my sister’s favorite books, but I had never read it yet. When I
found this book on the list, I thought it was chance to read this book, and I
tried this book.
In
this story, people lived in the “Community”, where people obeyed many strict
rules and they never thought anything by themselves. In this Community, there
was a person who was called “the Receiver”. The Receiver had many memories such
as colors, emotions, climate and war, which people had forgotten long time ago.
Jonas, who was chosen as the new Receiver, was given many memories from last
Receiver (who was called the Giver) and he became to feel doubt about the
system of this Community. He wanted to make the Community better, and finally
he decided to leave his Community.
I
think the theme of this story is what the bravery is.
There were three
Receivers in this Community, the Giver, Jonas, and Rosemary (she was selected
as a Receiver ten years ago, but she was failed and she chose to be released
from the Community). Every Receiver had their bravery. The Giver endured
terrible memories only by himself for a long time. Jonas decided to leave his
hometown in order to make the situation much better. Rosemary could not be the
Receiver and she chose to quit her training, but it was also one form of
bravery. In the Community, no one made choice but people only obeyed the rules,
so I think Rosemary needed much courage to choose the end. There are many type
of bravery and some might not be able to be understood. However, it is brave to
do what one believe is right.
Through this
book, I was impressed by the scene where Jonas asked his father whether he
loved Jonas or not. Father said he could not answer because the word “love” is
not suitable for this situation. For me, it is natural to say “I love my family”,
and often forget these emotions, because they are too natural. However, these
emotions may be special things. I hope to remember that.

Nice to Meet You :)
During summer vacation, I went to Osaka with my family. I went to Tsuten-kaku, Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, and Universal Studios Japan. This was the first time I visit to Osaka, and I really enjoyed my trip. Especially, I enjoyed Universal Studio Japan very much, because I love SNOOPY. I bought many SNOOPY goods there.
Through ARW Autumn classes, I want to learn how to write sentences which is understandable to read. To write in English is difficult for me, but I like to write sentences.
I am a little nervous because I heard that this autumn term is three times as hard as the spring term. However, I will do my best!
